cant play an mpeg file . help

cant play file on windows media player, comes up with
error c00d11cd.
and i cant find info on error.
when i try to use quicktime it says, could not open file
becoz a software component needed by the movie could not
be found.
i have no idea what this means.
what software r they talking about?
i have other mpeg fils and they work fine.

mpegs, also with avi files. i can't watch aqua teen
hunger force!!! i can hear it fine but get no picture. if
you end up getting any help with that, can you let me
know? i'm not about to pay $35 to here some support
person tell me the problem is something simple. if it's
not too much to ask, my email is '(e-mail address removed)', if
you hear anything. thanks.

Hello,
You need appropriate codec to watch avi (also otrher)
files. Download some Divx codecs pack (e.g. Nimo Codecs
Pack; Divx Codecs Bundle), install them and off you go.
