I can't ping my desktop from my laptop. The desktop can
ping itself and the laptop. Both can ping the gateway.
Also, I can see the desktop from the laptop in the
workgroup, but when I click on it, it gives an error that
says"path not found". I can't see the laptop from the
desktop in the workgroup. I'm not using ICS and my ICF
is off on both computers. I am using McAfee but have
disabled the firewall on both machines. Thanks in advance.

Could you open a command line window and type the command

ipconfig /all

on both computers and post the results here? That could help to
pinpoint the cause.

Another point is to completely uninstall third party firewalls,
but that was already mentioned on the web site,
http://www.michna.com/kb/WxNetwork.htm.
