can't paste outline word data into powerpoint??

it's amazing that powerpoint doesn't accept word's clipboard format as
outline data. File.Send To.A thing that's on the hidden menu? what's up
with that?

Care to explain the problem in more detail?

Haven't a clue what to tell you about "a thing that's on the hidden menu".
What hidden menu? What thing? WhatWhatWhat? ;-)
