can't paste between word and outlook

Suddenly I can't copy and paste from Word to Outlook or
from Outlook to Word. I can copy and paste from either one
into Notepad, or from Word to Word, and I can drag and
paste, so I figured this is probably just some setting I
can't find, but really I have no idea. Any ideas?
 
check your mail format under outlook tools options, change
that around and see if that helps.
