I cant partition C: drive using partition magic 7.0.
I can partition second disk on the same pc without any
issues but for the first disk after the partitioning
it asks me to reboot (it does the partition on the second
disk wihout reboot) after the reboot i get an error about
autochk failing to find xmnt2001. after the machine boots
there is no new partition.

any suggestions
Thanks

Check with the vendor. But, the fact that a temp file cannot be found
suggests that you have something set to delete temp files on shutdown?
