Can't organize Favorites,..

I add a site to my favorites and it saves it to the waaay bottom of
the list. I drag it up to the top where I want it but if I close IE
it's position/order doesn't get saved; the next time I open IE it's
down at the bottom again. What's a person to do? I sorted the order in
Organize Favorites but to no avail. Thank you, p.
 
Close the favorites . Then up on the menu bar to favorites then right click
on one choose sort by name

If you cannot change favorites menu order - e.g. like Keith suggested -
you may try to reset this order using registry editor. To do that you
should delete a long binary value "Order" located in registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Favorites
After doing that Favorites should be sorted in alphabetical order.

Right, but it won't ever get saved like this. You have to do it each
time you open IE. Seems like the sort was saved when the program
closed in previous versions. Thanks for your time, p.
