can't open program folder on xp pro

Have a small network one comp on ME, one on 98 and one on
XP Pro. They all see each other fine , but the one on ME
can't access the program files on the XP Pro. All other
folders and files fine. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Are you using NTFS file system in XP?

If so do you have the appropriate permissions for the ME computer/account?

If not you need to set that up.

Tom,

Is Simple File Sharing enabled or disabled on the XP comp? If disabled, then
you need to logon to the ME comp with an account / password identical to one
setup on the XP comp.

Also, depending upon how sharing of "C:\Program Files" is setup, you may need to
make the account used on the ME comp a member of the Administrators group when
setup on the XP comp.
