can't open Outlook - "pure virtual function call, r6025 runtime error

When I try to open Outloook 2000 I get this message:

Microsoft Visual c++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error
Program:C:\Program1~\M19933~\Office\Outlook.exe
R6025
Pure virtual function call

If I "x" out the box or hit OK, Outlook closes right
away. I cannot use the program at all.

Help!
 
What do you mean, I only use one profile and I've used it
for 5 years. Should I try to open under a new one for
some test pourpose? I don't want to change my ID. THANKS

You don't have to. Just go to Control Panel-Mail and create a new Profile
with a new pst. If that works, then you can copy all your settings and mail
into it.

Not Windows profile, mail profile. Control Panel's Mail applet.
