Hi,

I have win xp pro and i've just find out that I can't open the icons
in the Network Connection's folder.I double click on then (I have 2,
one for my nic and 1394)and they don't open.Right click on them and
click on Status and nothing happens. I create a shortcut and
double-click on it and nothing happens.

The net conections work fine but I would like a fix for this but it's
not the normal behavior

Thanks

Update:

I've reinstalled network driver from one of the connections and i still
can't open the icon with a double-click
No errors in device manager

Some connections don't have property pages like AOL and some versions of
MSN.

Otherwise you might try this solution for a similar problem

Thanks for helping but it didn't work.
Another thing I've noticed is that if I checked "Show icon in
notification area when connected" in the network connection icon I
don't see the icon in the task bar

I have two network connections icons, one for my nic to my internet router
(Sis900 card) and a 1394 connector with noting plugged to it. I started in
safe modem and I didn't hace the 1394 connection but I did have the nic
connection and it worked doing double click on it the status properties came
up.

I started in normal mode, had the two connections and I couldn't get the
status on neither of them

We were apparently 2 of the only 3 people on the web with thi
problem! Found the answer in a MS newsgroup. With any of the explore
windows opened, go to Tools | Folder Options | View | Launch Folde
Windows in a Separate Process and uncheck it. Reboot and it should b
fine. If that doesn't work, let me know; the guy had one othe
suggestion, but don't recall it. This worked for me and the poster
