I am testing out the Remote Assistance program between my laptop (which will offer the assistance) and desktop (asking for assistance). I have requested assistance both by using email and by saving the file as an attachment and then emailing it. Both times, the laptop receives the email but when I double click on the icon, it will either just sit there and do nothing, or I will get the message asking which program would I like to open the file with. I can't get to the window which will allow me to connect to the desktop. The desktop is running XP pro, and the laptop 2000. Any suggestions?
