hello there..
i was unhappy with the default account name 'Administator'
and so i tried to fix this by creating a new account
(becuase it wont let me change it) and now all ive got is
an empty account (the new one) when i want to carry on
using my 'Administator' account instead :(

how can i get back into this 'Administrator' account
(becuase it doesn't show on the log-in screen) and also how
do i delete this second account?

If I were you, and I created the second administrator account - I would keep
it and use it instead of the original. It's backup - in case things go bad
on one account, you have the second account.

And no - it does not show by default on the Welcome Screen. You can make it
show by using "TweakUI" from Microsoft.. Or, if you are using Windows XP
Professional, at the welcome screen, press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice in succession.
Then type in the username "administrator" instead of whatever is there and
the old administrator password (if there was one.) That should log you in
as the Administrator user.

However, technically there is no difference between your new admin and the
old one except you likely had a look/feel already going for the old
administrator. I would just rebuild the new one the way you want it -
learning from your past mistakes/trials. You can access all of the old
desktop/my document files by going into C:\Documents and
Settings\Administrator and looking around in that directory.
