HI,I just installed xp on my wife`s computer, she had
windows me,everthing was just fine until I tried to install
a new wireless mouse. I got error message, so I
uninstalled it. now my key board won`t work to log on to
windows,I`ve tried to format my hard drive so I can start
over, but I can`t even do that. I have tried everything
Ican think of. can anyone help. thanks

You format that hard drive and she'll shoot you. Good thing the keyboard came to the rescue
The keyboard is a minor problem. Erasing everything she has is a major fix, kind of like swatting a mosquito with a 16" naval gun

Did you back up the system before the upgrade? If so, that would be the way to start over.
When you first boot up, before it starts Windows, the bios scans for keyboards, mice, drives, etc
If it finds no keyboard it should stop there complaining.
If it stops here, check to make sure the keyboard is not plugged in the mouse hole
If the keyboard and mice are swapped (because they both use the same connector), just reverse them

If they are not marked, just sing "Keyboards to the left of me, mice to the right. Here I am, stuck in the middle with you." That way you will know to put the keyboard in the connector on your left

Try that and see how it works
