I think that I have a virus on my system that will not
allow me to log on to my desktop from any logon name (not
even adminstrator) and not in a mode (i.e. safemode). As
soon as I click on a username under which to logon is
starts the logging in process and two seconds later it
says that it is logging off. I have no idea what to do or
what is wrong with it and would appreciate any help that
anyone can give.
Thank you

Same thing is happening to me.
Any help out there? I think it is a bit rampant.
Thanks so much,
Richard

Same thing is happening to me, with a stop error c000021a
Fatal System error 0x0000005 occuring.

Based on my research it could be a number of things, but
it looks to be pointing to a system file corruption
taking place in the logon process. I have also seen
evidence to indicate a failed update in some IE component
or most likely, some virus we don't yet have a name for.

I have the exact same problem ... i had a virus, let
norton fix that, and then I decided to go into my registry
and start deleting stuff that looked funny...now i have
this same exact problem uuuugggghhhhh
