can't log on as adminsrator or swich user accounts

i did a windos xp pro upgrade.and now my serial is in correct.so i opened a new user acount without a password and made it the adminsrator acount and turned my main acount to limited like a dummy.know everytime i turn the computor on the limited acount with password comes on the welcome screen.i have tried every thing to swich the acount to adminstor but nothing seems to work.could someone please help asp!!!
 
With no account logged in nor switched out, at the
Welcome screen enter alt-cntrl-del-del and then
log in with an admin account and readjust things.
