You did not say what kind of domain you are in. Make sure you check the
account on a domain controller - Active Directory Users and Computers for a
W2K domain. Have the user try to logon from another machine to see if it
happens to narrow it down to a machine or user account problem. If it is a
machine problem, it may be a security option on the XP Pro machine that is
not comaptible with the domain such as lan manager authentication level. If
you have another XP machine that works, compare the security options in
Local Security Policy on both to see it they are the same. Running netdiag
on the XP Pro machine looking for pertinent failed tests may help pinpont
the problem. Though I doubt it is the problem, make sure that the ICF
firewall is disabled on the XP Pro machine and also examine the security
logs in Event Viewer on the domain controllers for failed logons [assuming
account auditing is enabled] that may provide the answer. --- Steve

I have a problem with a XP machine that will not let a
user log onto the domain. It says the account is locked
out. I checked user mngr and it is not locked out or
disabled and it still will not let this user log onto our
domain on an xp machine.
I'm out of ideas.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
