can't log in to desktop! plz help!

hi, i installed icq, and when i restarted my computer and
click on my user name in the main login screen, it says
plz wait, loading. then it loads my background but the
toolbar and icons dun load.. i try getting in through
safemode, but it doesnt work either.. plz help me i dun
want to lose all my files! stupid icq!

I don't think icq is the stupid party here. Did you back up your data?
Are you running a good antivirus and keeping it updated? Try a repair
install.
