Hi, I am trying to install some educational software onto my home PC (XP
Media Centre). When I put the CD-ROM in the setup doesn't automatically
start. If I browse to the drive and click on the setup icon the hourglass
appears briefly and then disappears. After a while (usually when I log off)
I get an error message saying something like "can't run 16-bit windows
program". I have tried various solutions relating to config.nt and
autoexe.nt files but to no avail. I then tried the disk in my work PC (XP
pro) and the setup worked fine. Can anyone suggest what to do? Thanks

Hi, Thanks for the information. I will try changing the compatibility mode

Hi, I have just tried to change the compatibility settings on the setup.exe
file both from the disk and when copied onto my desktop. None of the
compatibility settings appears to work. The CD-ROM does state that it is XP
compatible , and it does work on XP pro....any ideas? Thanks
