can't install Netscape browser

When I try to download NS 7.1, I get a "network connection
interrupted--dowload paused" sign immediately; "resume"
gets the same sign every time.

I have 6.0 on my hard drive. When I start it, it comes on,
but immediately says "conection refused" for any page I
try to go to.

I was able to download Opera, but it, too, gives
me "connection refused" on any page.

I'd appreciate help; all I want is for a Netscape browser
to work.

Many "flavors" of that fine browser can be had from http://sillydog.org/narchive
Try there. There are several customized versions that allow you to reject
items that you do not need or that are already installed. Do a CUSTOM
install, to further refine the process.

Prior to 7.1 install, UNinstall NS6 first, via Control Panel|ADD/REMOVE
PROGRAMS
