Hi there,

I am trying to upgrade my Media Player to version 9, and I
have just upgraded windows 2000 Professional to Windows XP
Professional. The upgrade goes all the way to the end and
then it says "Upgrade Complete. Windows could not install
Media Player 9. Please run install again" or something to
that effect. Anyway, I've run it several times and it still
doesn't work. Any ideas? I would be very appreciative.

Thanks,

Keri

Hi,

after upgrading to xp from 2000 pro, click on add/remove programs choose windows components and then uninstall windows media player.

restart the computer and then install a fresh copy of windows media player from the internet.
