Can't get XP to boot up in new computer. Asus mobo. They say to reinstall XP.
Will I have a problem re- registering?

Have you changed the boot order in the BIOS to CD/DVD 1st Boot??
Does the message come up "push any Key to boot from CD" ??

Or where exactly does it get "stuck" ???

Once you've got that....go tru the install as if a new install and you will
come to the message..new install or repair install...try the repair install
first to see if it fixes your problem....whatever that might be??

You don't re-register. What is required is activation. Depends on your
copy of XP. If it's been more than 120 days since the last activation it
could go through on the internet automatically. Otherwise you'll need to
make a phone call.

You haven't provided enough useful info, what is the history?
What did you do to get to the point your at?
