I recently installed a older Quantum Fireball hard drive
in my new computer w/ Win XP. The hard drive shows up in
device manager, which says it is working properly, but
cannot be located in Windows Explorer or My Computer, so
it's unusable. Is there some setting that I need to turn
off or on in XP to get it to be seen there.
I seeem to recall a screen, maybe in Win 98, that let you
check off drive letters with red checkmarks, that you
didn't want to use.

Is there one in XP, or is this from an older utility that
I can't remember using that gave me access to this.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

ya go to the control panel->administrative tools-
computer management->storage->disk management-> in the
bottom right windows right click the harddrive and assign
a drive letter to it. you may need to format the drive if
it isnt already, you can do that there too.
