Trying to get to www.vodafone.net - it says the page is not available.

However my XP box on the desk next to it running IE7 gets on no problem so I
presume it is a Vista problem.

Any suggestions?

I just tried with Firefox on XP and got the following:

"The connection was interrupted-
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make
sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."

The site is probably busy.

Tryed on ie 7 from north european location.
response was

IE cant show the site.
------------
Possible causes :
- You dont have internet connection
- Website got technical difficulties
- You wrote the wrong URL.

Try to :

- Run Diag of the issue

- More issues (click able)

**********************************

Haha well another site to that list.
hundreds of sites dont run lately, well when i try on xp no problem
only vista is blocking them, and not sure if its that "fisting" (phising)
filter or what the issue might be.

But did you try to add the site as "trusted" site under security
in IE ?

I had to for some secure connections which showed excakt same
problem. But worked after security corrections.
No biggie it was just the BANK wtf.. lol good job in the defender. :p

Yeah, look elsewhere, they are in HUGE Legal troubles! Apaprently
their whole business is based on 3 stolen Verizon Patents. A Judge has
blocked them from signing up any new clients and Verizon is trying to
get them to go out of business. Stock price has dropped A TON this
last few weeks! They will either pay A TON of money to Verizon, be
taken over, or go out of business, IMO.
STAY AWAY until this is settled.

That's Vonage, not Vodafone.

vodafone is .com not .net

Indeed Vodafone is .com or in my case .co.uk - HOWEVER www.vodfone.net is
the correct address to access my Vodafone emails and voicemail. I have used
it on a regular basis. I know there has been a problem and it has been down
but it is now back up again. All my XP boxes can show the page. My Vista box
can't.

You do realize the link you posted in your most recent response has Vodafone
misspelled but even assuming that was just a typing error and you have your
browser pointing to www.vodafone.net, I'm still unable to reach that address
from my XP box using either Firefox or IE 6. Firefox indicates a possible
problem with the website while IE6 states the web address could not be
found. If that is, in fact the address from which you retrieve e-mails and
voicemail, I'd suggest contacting Vodafone by telephone and inquiring even
though you seem able to reach the address from your XP box. Also, if you're
not typing the address in your XP browser but using a link, I'd examine that
link to be sure you are using the same addess on your Vista setup and that
you've posted the correct information for us to check.

Sorry - my bad - it was a typo - www.vodafone.net is what it should be!

I ccan't get to that either in IE7 but if I click on details there's a
bunch of possible explanations including:

<< If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet
Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols
are enabled under the security section. >>

It is a https address after it forwards from your address.

Could this explain it.
