What? Is XP not allowing you to save/print tapes? Are they not called
tapes? Are we supposed to buy software to operate something as
primitive as a hyperterminal?

What's hyperterminal got to do with tapes? How
do you want to "save" tapes, and what do you
expect to get when "saving" a tape?

Apparently the OP is operating his 12v d.c. eight-track tape player on 440v
a.c.

Not a feature of the built-in calculator that I know of. If you're using a 3rd-party product, it's
their job to include a print routine.

I'm positive it is, or was. I recall printing "tapes" off Windows 3.1
ten years ago. (In fact, I still have one or two somewhere.)

Sorry about the failed hyperterminal joke. What I meant to say was
that I thought XP was a step forward in regard to "little" accessories
like the calculator (not a step backward, like to text-only internet).

Anyway, if anyone knows a way to get XP's calculator to keep a list of
entries, then print them, I would love to know how.

Now that I recall, the file extension was .tap.

Don't know any way to make XP's calculator do that. There seem to be lots of 3rd party options.

Is it possible that a feature like the one I'm describing was part of
Norton Desktop for Windows? The 3.1 I used .tap files on was on Norton
Desktop for Windows.
