Hi,

At first I couldn't get Norton Antivirus to run b/c it said application error vpc32.exe or something along those lines, so I went to symantec and ran a free virus check to find out that C:\Documents and Settings\John Kormos\Application Data\Microsoft\sr64\sr32.dll is infected with PWS.Hooker.Trojan . Thus I went about the process of trying to remove said trojan, but I couln't find its value in the registry when I was editing it. I started in safe mode, ran norton there, then i checked the registry in safe mode. I don't know, I've run cw shredder and ad search, but I still can't get this thing off my computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Symantec provides a detailed explanation of how to remove this virus here:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/pws.hooker.trojan.html

If you are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with editing the registry, you may
wish to ask a knowledgeable friend or a professional to help you. If
Symantec's instructions are not clear to you, you should contact Symantec
technical support directly.

Thanks for the reply,
but I've already been there and tried that. The problem is, I can't find the value of the virus in the registry where it is supposed to be. Thus, there seems to be nothing to delete is the problem.
