Hi,

I'm using PP2000 -- I tried Insert->Movie From File... to insert an
mpg movie into my presentation. When I tried to run the slideshow,
the first frame of each mpg would flash on, and then I'd get a black
screen. So I tried Insert->Object-> Create From File... with my mpg
file. So far so good -- it works! But when I run the slideshow, the
title of the file is at the bottom of the mpg. How can I get rid of
the title?

Thanks!

Use insert movie from file but try
1)Updating video card driver
2)Lowering video card driver troubleshooting tab to none. (Right click on
the desktop, choose Properties, Settings, advanced, Troubleshoot tab.

lost?

Try right-clicking the icon on the slide and choosing Package Object, then
Edit Object. In the resulting dialog box, go to Edit/Label and delete the
text in the label box.

Is that what you're after?

I'm using MS PowerPoint 2000 (9.0.2716) and I don't have the Package
Object option after right-clicking on the object. Any other way to get
rid of the title and the then the progress bar at the bottom of the
mpg while it's playing?

Well, I did get the package option when I followed your steps for inserting
an MPEG file into PPT 2000.

What do you see when you right-click the object? Do you have an Edit option
or anything like that?

I went back to it, and saw that the menu had a Media Clip Object...
option, so I selected that, then Edit. This opened the slide in a new
type of editing window. I selected Edit, Options, and there, I was
able to uncheck the Control Bar on Playback box. And that did it.
Thanks!

Also, there is a real delay before the MPEGs are played -- black
screen and all -- on the list of slides on the left of the screen
there seems to be a squiggley line just above the slide name. Any idea
how to minimize the delay -- increasing the video resources isn't an
option. Is the squggley line relevant?
