cant get rid of this picture

When viewing my pictures on my Dell laptop, I clicked
onto something and the picture filled the entire screen.
I cant get it off as there is no close box. The desktop
icons show on top of the picture. What can I do to get
that picture out of my computer?

That's called a desktop background...or wallpaper.
When you right click an image, you have the option
to "Set As Desktop Background".

To change it...right click your desktop and choose...
Properties / Desktop tab...in the background list...
choose...None / Apply / OK.

To delete the file from your computer, you would have
to go to the folder it is saved in (possibly "My Pictures")
and right click the file and choose delete.
