cant get rid of the virus

I have detected WORM_SPYBOT.GEN but have not been successful at deleting it.
I went to the link http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/ToolsQuit.htm but have not
been successful using his link for the W32.SPYBOT and the site it refers you
to which is symantec....makes you go into register and change to original
values, which is too complex for me. Is there another way, ie. a virus
removal tool that works? Have not had any luck with the Trend Micro Sysclean
tool. Thanks, Brian
