I, too, have the problem which joostin420 has regarding the
udate-your-version messages popping up every time I sign
online. I actually did download the new version, even
though I don't use Messenger, because I assumed that would
make the messages stop. Wrong assumption.
I'd like to either uninstall Messenger or disable it, as
Bob Newman also mentioned. I've gone into "set program
access and defaults" and unchecked it there, but I'm still
getting the annoying update messages.
Since these seem to be problems for some number of us, I'm
hoping someone from MS will reply. Soon.
