Can't get networking setup with xp home sp2

I had networking setup just after reinstalling xp home. I had to uninstall
Norton antivirus and I haven't been able to setup networking since.

And remember that unless you use all possible tools and procedures from
Symantec, you may have remnants of NAV still in your system.
