Can't get hyperlinks to open in OE

I have tried all the fixes that I have found to get the hyperlinks to open in
OE. All I get when I click on a hyperlink is a funky kerplunk sound and
nothing happens. I have been to several websites that all offer the same
answers but none of the work for me. Does anybody know how to fix this
problem. It is a major pain to copy and paste if the link isn't there and it
says "Click Here". I would appreciate any help I can get. This is very
frustrating. Thanks

1) Ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup
2) In IE click Tools>Internet Options>Programs>Reset Web Settings.
 
I have done that also. Beginning to think the problem stems from my
Stopzilla program for blocking popups. Contacted them after I did a little
more investigating last night and they acknowledged that they are aware of
the problem and hope to have a fix for it soon. Thanks for all your ideas
though. It's nice to know somebody actually reads these posts and tries to
help.
 
I would appreciate any responses or answers that come your way. I have had
the same problem but am not sure what Stopzilla program I may have. Any
input you already have would be great. Thanks,
 
Well I disable the Stopzilla and that didn't solve the problem so anyone with
any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Marty
