can't get html format

I tried all the settings and can not get any of my messages to view in html
format.

I get several newsletters and they all show the links in stead of pics.

Any ideas?
 
What version of Outlook? Outlook 97 cannot use HTML at all.

I'm sorry I forgot to include my version:

Office pro xp

I had html views before but since I had to reinstall I get it back.

Specifically I used to be able to view incoming messages in html format,
pics instead of hyperlinks.

I know it's a check/uncheck box or setting somewhere...
 
Disregard this problem. I have a backup utility from total idea (pretty cool
by the way) that I had set to read messages in plain text. Once I unchecked
that option outlook displays html view.
