Can't get home network up and running

I use a cable modem and a router to distribute my internet signal to up to 4
computers in my home. I am trying to allow file/printer sharing across the
network. I have run the network setup wizard from my computer and my son's
computer to no avail. Nothing ever appears in "My Network Places".

Can someone tell me what I may be missing?

Did you adjust firewall setting on all machines? Add other computers to
Trusted Places?
