I have an exchange student from Germany who has XP home on his computer. I
have a netgear wireless G router and I cannot get his computer to "See" and
communicate with the router. I treid to mimic the settings from my wife's
laptop but his version of XP is missing several menu items that are on mine.
I need to know how to configure his so that he can get online to get all his
work done. I have tried a PNP wireless g 108 card and a hard cable to one of
the router ports niether have worked.

HELP!
Steve

I have two computers that are hooked to the network correctly. The laptop
(running XP Home) and a desktop running Linux. The young fella's computer
(desktop running a strange version of XP Home that he purchased in Germany)
does not seem to see or connect to the network. The router knows that a
powered line is hooked into port 2 on the back of the router but that is as
far as I can get.

Like I mentioned I have purchased a wireless pci card for his computer as
well as stringing an ethernet cable halfway across the house and still cannot
get his to connect to the network.
