I'm having some trouble here and have run out of ideas. I have two computers. One that works great, the other that doesn't. Here's the problem. I have both hooked up to a router, and when I plug one in it correctly gets the assigned IP. (The router has DHCP.) However, when I plug the other one in it doesn't. In c-prompt I get the following error when I try "IPCONFIG /Release"

"Windows IP Configuration

An error occured while renewing interface Local Area Connection : The system cannot find the file specified.

Ipconfig /all returns "0.0.0.0" for the IP, subned, and dhcp server addresses..

You may want to try uninstalling and reinstalling TCP/IP
and once reinstalled, set a static IP configuration on
the NIC.

How do I uninstall tcp/ip? When I go to the network settings and the tcp/ip button dims out

Thanks
