Can't find the formatting toolbar?

The formatting toolbar is selected, but I cannot see it
anywhere on the screen.

I assume its either somehow attached itself to another
toolbar and is in fact located off the viewing area of the
screen or it hasn't in fact been selected (even though
Word says it is).

Any ideas anyone in getting this toolbar back ?
