i had a second my documents folder that had some info recovered from a previous computer. until recently, my computer showed the 2 folders. however, lately i cant find this "recovered" my documents folder, and now i have a my documents folder and a folder with the logged one persons name. unfortunately, their both the same content. i dont know if its a function of who logs on or what. there is only one person to log on (not counting guest). i was wondering if someone has to be logged on and possibly the folder is accessible by having noone logged on. if not, is there a way to recover the folder (even if i need to bring it to a specialist)?

Has someone else deleted this folder? Have you tried search and typing in the name of a file you had in this folder?

If you know the exact name of the folder and it was a unique
folder name... like "MyDocs" use can use the Search for Files
and Folders... thing on the start menu.

If it was named the standard "My Documents", use the same
thing listed above and type in: "My Documents" with the quotes
around the name.

Let me know if that helps.
