I have a partition on a WD external drive where my mp3s and music files are
stored. When I click MY COMPUTER it shows 1 Gig of files. I can't find them
on the computer, but some of them will play through I tunes website Where I
downloaded some of them from. The directory shows up as the partition that
has my music files. Then when I open that partition nothing shows up.How can
I get my files to show up.Thanks for any help!

A client of mine had this issue last month. Try this (believe it or not):

1) Go to a COMMAND prompt and change to the Folder (or root of the drive) as
desired,
2) Type ATTRIB *.* -H /S /D and press return (you may have to replace the /D
with /E).

This will remove the Hidden Attribute from all files and directories
throughout the structure. Make sure you do this from a Command Prompt. It
doesn't seem to work so well from the GUI.

The other thing you might try is to change the View Options under Foler/View
in Explorer.

Hope it nelps.

Type

cd c:\

and hit Enter.

Or type

cd ..

and hit Enter.

Again type

cd ..

and hit Enter.

backing up the drive with Nero.Crazy things happen.
