I recently bought a new harddrive much larger than my old
one. Instead of keeping both, I just installed windows on
the new one. While trying to transfer some files, I wanted
to keep all of the emails I had saved in my inbox on the
old harddrive's version of Outlook (which was outlook
express). However, when I ran outlook on the old
harddrive, it no longer could find my old emails. I know
they must be floating around somewhere, but I don't know
how to find and import them. I know if I can just get them
back on the old outlook, the new one will be able to
import from there.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Lauren

Search for a .pst file. it may be hidden so you might need to enable the
viewing of hidden files.

http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm describes where Outlook keeps its
files. Assuming "D" is the old drive that you've added to your new PC, your
PST is likely in D:\Documents and Settings\{user}\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook, which is a hidden folder.
