Hi All,
I've run into this problem twice in the field now and cann't for the life of
me figure how to fix it.
after cleaning viruses from a computer, and deleting a bridge connection, im
left with a couple of dialup connections, a firewire connection, and a 10/100
nic connection.
after connecting the 10/100 nic to a router i cant get the computer to auto
detect the network. another computer will so i know the router is ok.
when i check the connection setup, client for Microsoft networks is
unchecked along with file and printer sharing. when i check both boxes and
click OK, it says are you sure you want to disable these items. when you go
back in to check them they are again disabled.
I've tried everything. short of reinstalling windows XP.
Is it virus damage? OS damage?
Help!!!!!!
