I am getting a message "This presentaion cannot be edited because it contains
a read-only embedded font" when I first open the file. When it does open it
won't let me do anything to it to include copying and pasting the slides into
another presentaion. I really need to edit the info in here. Anyone have
any ideas how to get it to work?

Thanks
Cory

Cory,
We know - it's frustrating. It's because you are trying to open a
presentation that includes a font you don't have installed and which the
person who embedded it didn't have the rights to share. There is more
information on this situation in this entry from Steve Rindsberg's PPT FFAQ:
PowerPoint opens presentations as Read-Only, won't allow editing when fonts
embedded

One note: If the font that has the problem is Arial Black, there are ways of
getting around the problem. The suggested work around is in the FAQ entry.
