can anyone help please. I'm trying to delete an email from my in box but keep
getting 'cant delete' or when I try to move it instead - 'an error has
occurred'. It's stuck in my in box and I don't know what to do. Is there a
straightforward solution to this?

Download and install this fix, with Windows Mail not running:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also
works in other folders. If you don't know whether to use the
32-bit version or the 64-bit version, try the 32-bit version
first. Certain common antivirus programs, such as most of
those from Norton or McAfee, or a recent one from Trend,
tend to cause such problems, so if you have such a program,
remember where to find the fix - you are likely to need it
again.

Microsoft has a fix for that:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090
"Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a
computer that is running Windows Vista"

That page offers two download options. Unless you know for sure
you have 64-bit Vista, use the 32-bit option.

Although only 'Outbox' is mentioned, it will enable removal of stuck
emails from any folder.

Found it very useful. Thank you
