Once again xp refuses to allow me to remove a folder.
I get that message that it is being used by another program.
The folder is under the Program Files and is called Xerox. There
isn't anything at all in it except a subfolder which is also
empty.
I have rebooted.
Any help will be appreciated.

James,

The folder Xerox is Protected by Windows (And, using Process Explorer, you'll can see Winlogon.exe process holding this folder). This is an empty folder and does not cause any harm. Leave it as it is.
