Can't Defragment My E: Drive with Diskeeper

I use Diskeeper 8 to keep my disks defragmented. I recently installed
a new 200gb USB drive on my new Dell. Things worked OK for awhile,
then I requested a Chkdsk on the E: drive. Now, Diskeeper won defrag
that drive, giving a message tha tthe System or a user has requested a
Chkdsk. The drive has been checked several times now, but Diskeeper
still won't run.
 
Diskeeper is neither a Windows XP utility, nor a Microsoft product.
