Can't create Auto. System Recovery floppy

In the backup utility, there is a point where the user is to put in a floppy
in drive A:. This floppy is to receive system settings that can be used to
recover from a catastrophic C: drive failure. But, alas I get an error
dialog box. "The files for the recovery diskette could not be created. The
operation was aborted."

Thank in advance for any guuidance.

What version of XP are you running? If it's XP Home Edition,
the error may be due to the fact that Automated System Recovery
only works in XP Professional. Take a look at this article for
