I received a *.doc file.
It opens fine. I can go through the various views ok.
I want to copy some lines from the doc, but as soon as I
put my mouse over the text, the "picture menu" pops up,
the entire text is inclosed within a border and clicking
the mouse to highliht any part of the text so I can copy
it, does nothing at all.
Obviously, they sent the text as a picture.
Is there a way to access it? So I can pull off a few
lines?
I tried changing the extension to rtf, txt, html. The
html was most interesting, in that it showed the text I
was trying to copy is in binary.
I tried emailing it to myself then saving that as a .doc
file, but it came out the same.
I need help, so I can extract text from this *.doc file,
just as if it were a regular *.doc file (which it looks
like, but is actually an embedded picture.)
Any ideas? Thanks,
Bob
