Cant convert to values

Can someone look at why these numbers are not recognized as values?
When going to "format cells" it says they are numbers, but excel
doesn't recognize them as numbers, as I am unable to use any
mathematical functions with them. Hints?

I can't see your spreadsheet. Try typing 1 in a cell and copying it. Then
Paste Special/Multiply on your cells. This should convert them to numbers.

copying 1 and paste special doesn't work.
