I dont remember changing anything but now one of my machines cant connect to
the Internet. Upon further inspection I found that my DNS client service is
stopped. So I go to the properties but its all greyed out. I am signed in as
admin but I cant start the service. I tried creating a new user as admin but
got the same thing. Any suggestions?

Hi,

In services, open the DNS client service and set the first failure option to
restart the service. Then reboot.

Thanks, I did that and restarted and the service is still stopped. I have
also noticed a new user account that I did not create its called asp.net
machine a...
Its a limited accout thats password protected. I wonder if its related.
Hijacked?

Hi,

The asp.net account is created when you install the optional .net framework
update. You can safely delete it.

The problem with the service may be dependency related, check that tab for
any services that it depends on. Make sure they are running as well.
