can't connect to computers on a net

I hace a network at home. Two computers see eachother and accede to internet
through a wi-fi &cable hub-router. The configuration is right. Same subnet,
same gateway, different ip addresses. They see each other i "pcs on my
network, both have shered files and HDS but when I click on one of them the
message is "you don't have right ask the admin"
PING is ok both from desktop pc to laptop (wifi and cabel) and viceversa,

but I cannot open the shared files
The laptop has msaffee firewal. (configuires to let anyone enter

it could be the permission issue. what do you receive if using net view \\remotepcname? this step by step troubleshooting may help, http://www.howtonetworking.com/Troubleshooting/notaccessibale0.htm
