can't click on start bar

hi
I am haveing a problem. I just instaled a new fx ge-force 5200 pci. now
after I instaled it I can't click on my start icon or any thing on the task
bar. but if i push the windows buttion on my keyboard the start menu comes up.

please help
 
Is the mouse cursor visible? Correct video drivers installed? Does mouse
work at all after the system starts?

yes the mouse (on the screen) is visible when i put it over the start bar.
and yes it works. it just acks like it's not there.
my screen saver is just the win xp slide show. not shure if that will mess
it up. (over 100 pics).
hope it works.

P.S. i am using the alien ware gui theam applyed, but i still can't click on
the start bar evean after i put it back to normal.
