Can't burn entire playlist onto Compact Disc

Error Message C00D117E:

"Windows media cannot copy all the selected items"

I keep getting this message every time I try to burn a CD
in windows media player. How do I adjust speed so that I
do't have to keep wasting CD's.
 
Im having trouble also with media player series 9 my
error message says OxCOOD11C9: cannot copy files to
recordable disc. There has to be somewhere to change all
this I just dont have the smarts to do it.
